Mindset Psychology is a thriving and integrative private practice seeking a motivated Limited Permit Psychologist (PsyD/PhD) to join our collaborative clinical team. This role is ideal for a postdoctoral clinician looking to build strong clinical skills, gain experience within a holistic team, and work with high-functioning adults and adolescents in outpatient psychotherapy.
Our practice emphasizes evidence-based treatment, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and a warm, supportive environment that fosters professional growth.
Position Description
- Create and manage your own flexible schedule
- Provide individual and/or couples therapy to adults and adolescents in New York
- Receive ongoing weekly supervision from a licensed psychologist
- Participate in monthly team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities
- Access full administrative and clinical support with minimal paperwork
- Benefit from a steady flow of referrals from our active waiting list
- Option to develop and facilitate group therapy
- Work within an integrated care team including a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Dietitian
- In-network with insurance, ensuring caseload stability and growth
- Compensation: $55 per 45-minute session
- Paid weekly – 1099 contractor role
Requirements
- Active Limited Permit Psychologist credential in New York (PsyD or PhD required)
- Approved supervision agreement with a licensed psychologist (or willingness to establish one through Mindset Psychology)
- Ability to build and maintain a caseload of 15–20+ clients weekly
- Training or strong interest in evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, IPT, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills and high-quality clinical documentation
- Commitment to culturally informed, ethical, and trauma-sensitive care
